Description
The Legion of Mary is a lay Catholic organisation founded in Dublin, Ireland.
The object of the Legion of Mary is the glory of God through the holiness of its members developed by prayer and active co-operation, under ecclesiastical guidance, in Mary's and the Church's work of crushing the head of the serpent and advancing the work of Christ.
Role of Ministry
United in faith with Mary's love for Jesus, legionaries aim at recognising and serving the person of Our Lord in all those whom they meet.
Our work comprises of the following:
a) parish census taking and home visitation;
b) dissemination of Catholic literature and religious articles;
c) catechism and hospital visitation;
d) contact work.
Who can join
Catholics aged 18 and above are eligible to join.
