Jan - Feb. Planning the Pre-Visits

Visiting 1,600+ families is a challenging mission.  And the Parish Mission team took this challenge seriously.  Meeting after meeting were held. From the census data collated, the homes were grouped into clusters, zones and sub-zones.  The members referred to maps  and discussed at length how best to cluster the blocks such that it will be easy to move from one place to another within the same area.   (Click on picture thumbnail)  Then, the priest schedule was drawn up so that 160 families could be visited by the priests in a week. Prior to the priests' visits, the schedule for the volunteers (guides) had to be drawn up for the pre-visits. During the pre-visits, the volunteers will be visiting the homes to verify the census data and noting the families' preference for the date of the priests visit.  As there are many homes to visit, the team appealed during the weekend masses for volunteers. More volunteers came forward, and the pre-visit schedule and guide list was finally ready.   It was indeed hard work but the team gave their time and energy generously for the Mission.  Preparations for the pre-visit briefing in February went underway ...
