Let Others Have Them Too

The one who humbles himself will be Exalted! To be humble is a skill that we are always learning to acquire. Why do I say so? Well, all that we have belongs to God right? He created them, whether directly or through us His people. Yet we have acquired legal rights over what is ours. Maybe that is alright. But do we share our possessions with the less fortunate? Maybe not always, right? Our Lord reminds us that as Christians we must make it a habit to share our life with our brothers and sisters who are in need. The gospel reading today also emphasizes the importance of loving these brothers and sisters of ours. Our Lord is telling us that we will receive honour and glory in heaven from God if we are humble before Him and love our neighbour. Sometimes, our neighbour has everything, but no peace of mind. He comes to you for some kind words. Your kind words uplift his spirit. Such a small help goes a long way to make you a witness of God. Let us take our Christian duties with fervour.
