Persist in asking in Faith

Ask and you shall receive In the book of Genesis, we see Abraham pleading with God repeatedly for mercy on behalf of the people of Sodom. In Colossians, St Paul tells us that even though we have been spiritually dead because of our sins, our debts have been nailed to the cross of Jesus and we have been brought to life with Christ by our faith in Him. In the gospel of Luke, Jesus taught his disciples how to pray to the heavenly Father for daily needs and to ask for forgiveness of sins. Even our earthly fathers know how to give good things to their children when we ask them. Surely our Father in heaven in His great love for us will give us what we need when we ask Him in faith. As Jesus said in Luke 11:9, “Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” In faith, let us approach our loving Father and persist in asking Him for His mercy and grace.
