News Lay Apostolate Dinner 2010
Lay Apostolate Sunday was celebrated by the Risen Christ parish with a dinner on 21 August 2010 at the Swatow Seafood Restaurant. Slides of the various ministries were presented as parishioners serving in them took up their seats at the 48 tables. Fr Stanislaus Pang welcomed everyone and led in the grace before meal. Program for the night included song and dance items, of which the highlight was the performance by the youths. Individual and table games gave rise to much excitement and laughter. A nice touch for the lucky draw was to have some representatives of the ministries drawing the numbers.
The organizing committee had done a few things differently this year including more walking space between tables, lower sound volume and a less tight program. These measures coupled with an improved ambience in the newly renovated restaurant allowed for better interaction among the parishioners who are the reason for the celebration. It was a good time of renewing old ties and establishing new ones as a body of Christ!
