Building bridges
Despite having little rest, Jesus was moved for the people who seemed to be stranded, without a shepherd, He had so little time to convey the message of love, that we are all God’s children, no matter our circumstances. Two thousand has gone by since the day Jesus showed us how to build the bridges between the gaps amongst us, yet in today’s society, there are many of us who are still alone despite living in a city with millions of others, squeezed into a high-rise building with hundreds of other families & crammed together in a small flat. Why are some of us even more alienated, divided, and hostile? St Paul wrote that Jesus is “our peace”, through His body & blood, He “broke down the dividing wall of enmity”, for through Him, we are all welcomed into His Kingdom. How could we carry on this beautiful legacy? We are all called to shepherd His people. We must not be so naive and let anything in the way of this mission, prepare ourselves well, rest when needed, to strengthen ourselves physically, emotionally & mentally.
