Follow Me
To be wise is to let go, as wisdom is more radiant and priceless than anything, any stone, gold or silver. Riches and wealth in the secular world is a measure of success, but they often become an obstacle to reaching that treasure in heaven. Many times these are not the only obstacles but also our ego, attitude, how we live, treat our spouse, children and friends. Perhaps it is in being prone to gossip, taking delight in putting others down, spreading half truths to put another person appear in the wrong, or just not speaking out the truth because of our fear of being different from the crowd. We can and must search our consciences. Perhaps His words would hurt, perhaps we would or have already turned away in sorrow as did the young rich man. Let us pray for one another that when that crucial moment comes, each of us will have the strength and wisdom to choose the right word to follow, the right gesture to make, then go on that right path that leads us all closer to God.
