Just have faith

Just have faith
“Do not be afraid” said Jesus, “Just Have Faith”. Three little words. So simple and yet it means everything to us and one of the hardest for many of us. In desperation, the synagogue official pleaded with Jesus to save his daughter, we, ourselves, have gone on our knees and pleaded with God for various things. Some of us, have bargained with God, that if He granted our prayer, we’d promise this or that. From the gospel reading, it’s not about bargaining, it’s about faith, for without faith, we are as good as ‘dead’. St Paul tells us all that we are already rich, we have more than enough. Yet we often behave like one with nothing. Jesus said ‘Arise!’. To us who have faith, we are called to do whatever little or much we can to overcome all forms of evil. To bring peace, joy, health and love to as many people as possible, start with those closest to us, our family, friends, colleagues, neighbours. For it is in the little gestures, actions and intentions also, that could heal and raise ‘the dead’ to life.
