Shine As Stars
In the first reading, we see the divine calling of God for the wicked and unrighteous to forsake their ways and thoughts. In His mercy and love, God will pardon the repentant sinner for His thoughts and ways are higher than those of men. The second reading shows that true righteousness is to live and die for Christ, persevering in the faith we profess. It means to live with Christ, in Christ and through Christ and be a light in the world until our last breath, thus exalting Christ in our every action, in life or in death. From the gospel, we learn that God calls everybody at different times. When men answer the call and work in the Lord’s kingdom, we should rejoice. The book of Daniel (12:3) says that those who are wise and lead others to righteousness will shine like stars for all eternity. God placed us here to evangelize as lights in the world so that His glory may be manifested through us.
