The Kingdom of God is for Us
What would it be like to be called by Jesus to follow Him? God created our world, and so it is inevitable that we would admire and love it, for it is indeed filled with so much richness and beauty. His creation is miraculous and wonderful. So how could we even bear to leave this behind and follow Him when He calls? It requires such faith, for it is beyond our comprehension to envision God’s Kingdom, we can only take God’s word for it, that His ultimate gift for us will truly be glorious and everlasting. We all know that all earthly things would eventually die, just as St Paul tells us that the “world in its present form is passing away”, and therefore we should strive to detach ourselves from all earthly things, even though we may be thankful for having them. We need to change our conduct and attitude to one who is seeking the Kingdom of God. We need to prepare our minds to fulfil God’s Will even if the situation we face is a difficult one.
