Active Partners of God

The first reading reveals to us who God is. He is a God of tenderness and compassion, slow to anger, rich in kindness and faithfulness’. The second reading shows the nature of the Trinitarian God that is manifested in the love of the Father, the saving grace of the Son, Jesus Christ and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. The gospel today speaks of how God loved us so much that He gave His only Son to die for our sins that we might have eternal life. How then can we live the life of the Trinity which is one of love in our lives? We do so in the love, care and forgiveness we offer to one another, in the ways we better the lives of the poor, the depressed, the anxious and the sick, and in our efforts to share our faith with others especially a younger generation and introduce them to the mystery of our loving God. As we celebrate the feast of the Holy Trinity, let us remember to be active partners in the work of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the world today.
