Third Sunday of Easter
As the disciples are witnesses to the resurrection of our Lord Jesus, we are also privileged with God’s grace to believe without having to see everything. During this Easter season, we celebrate the great events of our salvation, through the death and resurrection of Christ. Jesus appeared to his disciples and through these encounters their faith on Him as the Lord, the One sent by the Father deepened and grew stronger. Today, we encounter Jesus in many ways especially during the celebration of the Eucharist. He speaks to us through his words where He gives comfort and hope to the downtrodden and discouraged and where he also challenges us to give ourselves more generously to the service of others and to God. He reminds us of His sacrifice on the cross made present at the altar. May every celebration of the Eucharist we encounter Him personally and thus grow into deeper relationship with Him who is the Lord of our lives. May every encounter transform us anew into a new people filled with the Joy of the Lord and thus bringing more people to be part of His glorious promise!
