Our Weakness Brings On God’s Greatness

Jesus was rejected in His home town. The people only remembered who He was, and was totally unable to see anything beyond the knowledge they had of Him.

Their question on the source of His powers seemed to be stemmed from envy rather than sincere search for real understanding.

Have we experienced rejection of a similar nature?

Have we rejected others because we cannot believe that this person could possibly be different or transformed?

That we doubt how this person could have gained so much knowledge and wisdom, to even be able to lead us to a new vision.

The wonder of it all is that Jesus continued to love them, despite their rejection,

He could no longer “perform any mighty deed”, but He gave what they could receive, the healing of the few who were sick.

Could we be so humble as to continue to give our love and care even if we knew that people were against us?

Could our faith be enough to trust God, and remain in our weakness, to live with insults, discriminations, injustices, and still believe God can triumph
