Keeping Watch Over the Faithful

"Keep watch over yourselves and over all the flock, of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God that he obtained with the blood of his own Son." Acts 20:28

Guided by our Patron Saint St. Michael the Archangel, we believe in keeping watch over our faithful, to protect and guard against various dangers. The PEPT at Risen Christ is made up of dedicated volunteers who have given their time to this effort. Training is provided for all volunteers in the areas of First Aid, Fire Safety, Emergency Incident Management and Basic Security.

The PEPT team also works with our community partners, the Singapore Police Force, the Singapore Civil Defence Force, as well as the Archdiocesan Emergency Response Office (AERO) to establish protocols to respond to potential threats and to safeguard our church community.

We are one body with many parts, and we all have a part to play to ensure our parish remain safe for everyone.

"For as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ". 1 Corinthians 12:12

While various measures have been put in place, safety and security is a shared responsibility and we need everyone to be vigilant. If you notice anyone behaving suspiciously or has left a bag unattended, you can do your part by alerting our Wardens, the Emergency Response Team on duty or any of the priests. Together, we can keep our community at Risen Christ safe and secure!
