Christus Laudatur Voce Choir (CLVC)
Description
Christus Laudatur Voce Choir (CLVC) was formed in the 1980s. Since our beginning, we have been singing for the Saturday 6pm Mass.
We started as a children’s choir in the Church Of The Risen Christ, and evolved into a SATB (Soprano, Alto, Tenor & Bass) choir composed of members of all ages.
Inspired by the words of St Augustine of Hippo, “He who sings prays twice”, we use our voices to glorify God and evangelize the world through music in the Holy Mass and other events.
Over the years, we have been blessed to be a part of events like the JOY SG50 celebration and Shine Jesus Shine concerts held in the Singapore Indoor Stadium, and fundraising concerts at the Church of St. Mary of the Angels.
Christmas carolling is also a regular highlight for us, where we bring the joy of Christ to people in places such as the Caramelite Monastery, the Assisi Home and Hospice, Goodwood Park Hotel, Orchard Road and Sentosa Merlion Park.
We are committed to grow in faith and talent together as a community, and regularly organize prayer meetings, retreats, vocal and singing workshops, and praise & worship sessions for the choir.
