Aflame Charismatic Prayer Community

Brief History

The Risen Christ Charismatic Prayer Group was founded in 1977. Praise and worship has been held continuously since then. The group is now known as Aflame Charismatic Prayer Community to reflect the call to grow together as a community of committed disciples and witnesses of Jesus.

A blazing FIRE, igniting hearts for Christ

  • Faith building through worship, the Word of God and Catholic teaching
  • Intercession to bridge the gap between God and His people
  • Renewal of life through the experience and working of the Holy Spirit
  • Evangelization using the gifts of the Holy Spirit

We seek to foster a closer personal relationship with God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and to live the fullness of Christian life through the power of the Holy Spirit and to evangelise.

Who can join

All are welcome.

All are welcome to join us for our Monday and Wednesday meetings as follows:

Monday Prayer Meeting at the Parish Hall is held from 7.30 – 9.30 pm. At the meeting we worship and glorify God through praise and worship, intercessory prayers and a talk on a selected topic or Bible sharing and testimonies. Individual prayer ministry is available at the end of the meeting.

Charismatic mass is held on the first Monday of the month at the Parish Hall at 7.30 pm.

Wednesday Intercessory Meeting at St Cecilia’s room is held from 7.30 – 8.30 pm. Individual prayer ministry is available at 8.30 pm.

Life in the Spirit Seminar (LISS) is usually conducted yearly in July. LISS is a spiritual program comprising talks, sacraments, sharing, prayer, scripture and ministering to deepen our personal relationship with Christ. It helps participants to yield and be open to the working of the Holy Spirit and to grow in their relationship with God as a community. It is usually held over eight sessions.
